About the Conclave

The Conclave’s core agenda focuses on advancing smarter, more transparent public diplomacy and equitable, evidence-based public health systems.

The inaugural Georgetown Pakistan Public Policy Conclave (GP3C) is a first-of-its-kind forum dedicated to rethinking Washington’s and the broader diaspora’s public diplomacy and public health agendas through informed discourse about and within Pakistan and the Pakistani-American community.

Led by a collaborative leadership team of Wajahat S. Khan (Emmy-nominated journalist and founder of the Pak Futures Foundation), Amna Khilji (Vice President at Audeliss and co-founder/COO of Pak Futures), Rai Hasen Masoud Kharal (School of Foreign Service ‘27, Georgetown University), and Shahaan Shafi (School of Health ‘27, Georgetown University), GP3C represents a unique partnership between experienced practitioners and rising student leaders. Together, they are committed to creating a sustainable platform where policymakers, academics, diaspora voices, and advocates can engage in forward-thinking conversations on Pakistan’s governance, diplomacy, health, and development.

Hosted by the South Asian Society (SAS) at Georgetown University, bringing together students from the School of Foreign Service, the School of Health, and the McDonough School of Business, GP3C seeks to convene leading voices from policy, academia, business, and journalism.

The Conclave’s core agenda focuses on advancing smarter public diplomacy strategies and equitable, data-driven public health systems. Special emphasis is placed on mobilizing the 1.2 million-strong Pakistani-American diaspora across the United States, ensuring their insights, concerns, and potential to influence positive change are fully integrated into this high-level policy conversation at Georgetown University, at the heart of Washington, D.C.’s policymaking ecosystem.
