Dr. Sarah Kureshi
Sarah Kureshi, MD, MPH is a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she serves as Vice Chair for Education, and is also the Associate Medical Director of Health Equity for MedStar Health. A prized member of the Georgetown faculty, Dr. Kureshi has recently been honored with the university’s John C. Rose, Lambda, and James Slevin Engaged Scholarship Awards for outstanding mentorship and service. She is also co-founder of
the Refugee Physicians Advocacy Coalition. Her professional interests include structural and social determinants of health, health equity, race in medicine, anti-racism, refugee/immigrant health, working with historically marginalized populations, faculty development, and creating safe and inclusive learning environments.
