Dr. Miftah Ismail served as the federal minister of Finance from April 2022 to September 2022, and he previously held the same position from April 2018 to May 2018 in Khaqan Abbasi’s cabinet. He has also served as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and as Chairman of the Sui Northern Gas Company. Dr. Miftah holds a bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University and a master’s degree in Public Policy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Public Finance and Political Economy from Wharton as well.
