Rising Senior

Omar Anwar is a rising senior at Georgetown University majoring in the Biology of Global Health on the pre-med track. His research focus on skin cancer prevention in rural America has led to a first author publication and selection as a 2025 Distinguished Provost Fellow.

Originally from South Jersey, Omar has family roots in Lahore, Pakistan and is especially interested in how cultural beliefs influence cancer prevention in underserved communities.
