She\ncurrently serves as Senior Attorney at Freedom Together Foundation where she provides legal analysis\nand guidance in the Foundation\u2019s support of people who have been denied power to build it in order to\ncreate a more democratic, inclusive, and sustainable society.\nThroughout her career, Manar has served in nonprofits, government, and the private sector. She has\nworked at numerous nonprofits from conducting policy analysis and development at the American Civil\nLiberties Union (ACLU) and South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) to providing assistance to\ndomestic survivors through civil and criminal systems at Legal Services of New York City and the National\nClearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women. During the Obama Administration, Manar served as\nthe Deputy Policy Director for Immigration in the White House Domestic Policy Council where she\nassisted with the development of the President\u2019s strategy for building a 21st century immigration\nsystem.
